Knights Attend the West Coast Walk for Life 2020

On January 25th, 2020, advocates for life from all over California met up in San Francisco to defend the rights of the unborn. This came just on the heels following a momentous March for Life in Washington DC where for the first time in history a standing president attended and spoke at the event. President Trump gave one of his best speeches to date confirming his promise to defend the unborn and to be the most pro-life president in history. As is expected, many Knights councils from all over the state walked in the rally and our church, St John the Baptist, as well as Holy Trinity Parish in El Dorado Hills, rented 2 buses to take supporters down to San Francisco, and many Knights from both councils took the opportunity to go.

The event started at Civic Center Plaza where many national speakers fired up the crowd and energized our supporters. It was then followed by a 2 mile walk down Market Street, concluding at Embarcadero Plaza on the wharf. Thousands of supporters held signs and carried images of Our Lady while praying Rosaries in several different languages. It was an inspiring sign to see so much youth at the event. While there was a fair amount of crazy people, being in the heart of Speaker Pelosi’s district, the walk remained civil and serene. The momentum is with us now in the pro life movement, having a strong defender of the unborn in the White House, with judges in the Supreme Court and federal courts, and also with the youth and the next generations. Only time will come before justice will reign..
